Two Die Following Crash On Route 11 In Augusta – Road Has Reopened

Two people were killed in a Monday morning crash on Route 11 in Augusta County. The 8 a.m. accident happened near Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave and the highway stayed closed for more than two hours. State Police say the victims were 65-year-old Geraldine Sprouse of Craigsville and 33-year-old Nicholas Broce of Fort Defiance. Both died at the scene. Neither wore a seat belt. The cause is still under investigation.
