Former McDonnell Cabinet Member Testifies

The fourth week of the Bob and Maureen McDonnell opened Monday with a onetime member of the McDonnell cabinet taking the witness stand. Janet Vestal Kelly characterized former First Lady Maureen McDonnell (pictured left) as being “demanding, difficult and diva-ish”. She says Former Governor Bob McDonnell (pictured) was a boy scout and one of the most honest people she knows. The former First Couple got into hot water because of their relationship with Jonnie Williams, the onetime CEO of Star Scientific. The former Governor is expected to testify in his own behalf during a future court session. They’re down to just one alternate juror in the McDonnell case, this time due to a family emergency. Another juror was excused last week for no given reason.
