Case Against Tsaye Simpson Moves Forward

A judge has certified a murder charge against a onetime UVA food service worker. 21-year-old Tsaye Simpson (pictured) is accused of killing 22-year-old Jarvis Brown last fall in the Fry’s Spring neighborhood. Brown’s body was found October 17th on Woodland Drive. One witness has told City General District Court Judge Robert Downer that Simpson and Brown had a dispute at work several hours before the shooting. Simpson faces a charge of first-degree murder and several firearms charges. A grand jury is scheduled to get the case on April 21st.
