Teen Inmates Make Brief Escape From Farmville Area Juvenile Facility

Two 17-year-old inmates who escaped from a juvenile detention center near Farmville early Saturday were captured hours later in a bean field near the Prince Edward County community of Elam. The rural area where they were caught is a few miles east of downtown Farmville (pictured). Three male inmates tried to escape from the Piedmont Regional Juvenile Center, and one was apprehended before he could get out of the facility.
