Task Force Recommends Extending Detention Orders

The group that’s looking into changing mental health laws has come up with one proposal. The task force favors a three-day limit on temporary detention orders. That’s compared to the current limit of two days. The recommendation comes from the 37-member group known as the Governor’s Task Force on Improving Mental Health Services and Crisis Response.
