Supervisors Want To Explore Banning Big Trucks On Earlysville Road

The Albemarle Supervisors have instructed their staff to work with VDOT on the possibility of banning larger trucks on a stretch of Earlysville Road. White Hall Supervisor Ann Mallek (pictured) has been fielding complaints for years about big rig traffic on that road, which is also known as Route 743. The supervisors are most interested in the stretch of Earlysville Road from the Rock Store to Dickerson Road. Some neighborhoods on Earlysville Road have had a petition campaign to garner support for a ban on larger rigs in that part of the county.
