Albemarle Leaders Want To Do Better Job With Next Budget Cycle

The Albemarle Supervisors and the County School Board are pledging to do a better job next year on crafting a new budget. There were tensions last winter when the school division sent the supervisors a spending plan that was several million dollars higher than the known revenues. School Board member Steve Kolaszar calls it a perfect storm when the school board was faced reduced state allocations and other setbacks. Eric Strucko wants his fellow school board members to consider a multi-year budget plan.
