Supervisors Adopt Resolution On 29 Improvements

The Albemarle supervisors have approved a resolution that urges construction planners to create an acceptable traffic flow at the intersection of 29 North and Rio Road. Rivanna Supervisor Ken Boyd (pictured) cast the only vote against the resolution. He wanted a resolution that included the sequencing of road improvements. White Hall Supervisor Ann Mallek says the current plans for the 29 corridor are better than the now-tabled Western Bypass.
The resolution asks VDOT to minimize the impact to existing businesses and neighborhoods along the 29 corridor.
