The principal at Stony Point Elementary School is taking a job in Stafford County. Carrie Neeley (pictured) will be the Chief Elementary Officer for the Stafford County public school system. Neeley has been the leader at Stony Point since 2007. She began her teaching career in Stafford in 1989. While Neeley was at Stony Point the school was recognized four times by the National Title I Association for exceptional student achievement, received the Governor’s Award for Educational Excellence, and was named a Green Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education for progress in reducing environmental impact and cost, improving health and wellness, and delivering effective environmental education.
