Reminder About Christmas Tree Recycling

A reminder that the season enters the next phase: Christmas tree recycling.  Albemarle Parks & Rec has begun its annual recycling effort. Christmas trees are being accepted at several sites in the county, with curbside pick-up for city residents starting next Monday. In the spirit of giving, residents can then receive free mulch come February 1st at Darden Towe Park. Drop-off points in Albemarle include the Greenwood and Scottsville Community Centers, several county parks and the recycling center on McIntire Road. The trees have to be free of decorations, tinsel, wiring, etc.
