Black Youth Matter. That’s the name of a rally that will be held Friday night at the Free Speech Monument next to City Hall. Rally organizer Wes Bellamy (pictured) says things such as the Trayvon Martin case have left some with a scar. The event will include numerous speakers, and Bellamy says it will be a regional affair with people coming from as far away as Roanoke, Lynchburg, Richmond and Northern Virginia. Bellamy was a guest on the WINA Morning News with Rick and Jane.
