Higher Minimum Wage Torpedoed In House Of Delegates Committee

An effort to raise the state’s minimum wage is going nowhere. State Senator Dave Marsden’s proposal was rejected Thursday in a House of Delegates committee. Virginia’s current minimum wage matches the federal government’s figure. Marsden says he will introduce a similar proposal next year.
