Police Charge City Man With Malicious Wounding

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in the 1100-block of Fifth Street Extended. City Police say 41 year old Dominic Jabbara Lewis (pictured) is accused of stabbing a 26-year-old man near the Waffle House restaurant shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. Lewis has been charged with malicious wounding and he’s in the Regional Jail. The victim was taken to the UVA Hospital where he was treated for injuries that are┬ánot life-threatening. Police say the violent incident happened following a dispute. Lewis is scheduled to appear Monday in the city’s General District Court.
