Albemarle Police have charged a Greene County man with smashing his car into Broadus Wood Elementary School, and then hitting the road. The charges against 39-year-old Jason Scott Breeden include reckless driving in a parking lot, trespassing on school property, and hit-and-run on unattended property. Meanwhile, County School Superintendent Pam Moran says there were many heroes at Broadus Wood in the early morning hours of December 5th. Moran says her building services and transportation employees knew how to cope with the damage. It happened several hours before the start of the school day at Broadus Wood.
