Pharmaceutical Giant Settles Lawsuit With Virginia And Others

GlaxoSmithKline will pay Virginia more than $2 million as part of a settlement between the drug maker and 45 states. The pharmaceutical giant was sued because of the way it marketed the asthma drug Advair and two antidepressants. Attorney General Mark Herring (pictured) says the Commonwealth will use the money to support future consumer protection enforcement. The settlement must be approved by a Richmond Circuit Court judge.
