Former Charlottesville school board member John Pezzoli will be the state’s next commissioner of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. James Stewart III is retiring at the end of Governor McDonnell’s term. Pezolli (pictured) will serve as acting commissioner until a permanent replacement is named by governor-elect Terry McAuliffe. The 67-year-old Stewart says he went into the job with the plan of making it the last of his public career.
