No UTS Service To Foxfield This Year

One less way for UVA students to get to Foxfield. University Transit Service will not be offering any of its buses for rides to the Foxfield Races on April 26th. The UTS director says the reason is they’ve already been booked. Becca White tells the Cavalier Daily that they have a certain number of buses up for grabs on a first come, first-serve basis and they’re going elsewhere that day. A student leader of the UVA Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team is trying to figure out how the void can be filled. She tells the┬áCavalier Daily┬áthat there will be a push to encourage more designated drivers. One way to do that – students along for the ride can cover the cost of the Foxfield ticket for the driver who remains sober.
