The 92-year-old mother of Virginia’s new Governor has passed away.  Mildred McAuliffe died last Thursday in a Syracuse, New York nursing home.  Mrs. McAuliffe was too ill to travel to Richmond for her son’s inauguration, but she did watch the January 11th event on TV. She was never able to visit the Virginia Governor’s Mansion (pictured) with her son as the principal resident.
