Figures For Earning College Degree In Six Years

70% of students who go to Virginia’s four-year colleges and universities get a degree within six years. The State Council of Higher Education says that’s the second highest average among the 50 states. The figure for the University of Virginia (pictured) is 93%, which is the best showing in the Commonwealth.
Norfolk State University shows up at the other end of the spectrum, with a 34% graduation figure. The only state with a higher average graduation rate is Delaware, where 73% of the students got a degree within six years.
