Monticello Picks July 4th Speaker

Monticello has selected a businessman and former White House advisor to be the guest speaker at this year’s Naturalization Ceremony on the 4th of July. David Rubenstein (pictured) is the co-founder and co-CEO of The Carlyle Group, an alternative asset manager. Rubenstein was Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy during the administration of President Jimmy Carter. He also chairs the board of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and is on the Board of Trustees at Duke University. (Photo from Monticello)
