McDonnells Trial To Proceed: Judge Rejects Request To Dismiss

The judge has rejected a request to dismiss charges against Bob McDonnell and Maureen in their Richmond trial. Friday’s routine filing was one of many that Judge James Spencer heard as attorneys gear up for the defense to present its case on Monday. The McDonnells’ lawyers claim the prosecution has failed to prove that they violated any laws. The judge rejected the request to dismiss the case. The former governor is expected to take the stand in his own defense.
