A former governor is urging a federal judge to let him call up to ten character witnesses during his upcoming trial. Federal prosecutors are telling the same judge they want to limit Bob McDonnell (pictured right) and his wife Maureen (pictured left) to three witnesses apiece. The former governor and first lady are charged with accepting more than $165,000 in gifts and loans from businessman Jonnie Williams in exchange for promoting his products. The trial is slated to begin July 28th.
