Man Wounded In Northern Albemarle Shooting – Suspect Arrested

A shooting Tuesday night in the northern part of Albemarle. A man who was wounded is in serious condition at UVA Hospital. A suspect was arrested early Wednesday morning. County Police say they know each other. The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Tuesday on Durrett Ridge Road not far from the Greene County line. Carter Johnson of the County Police says Robert Lee Jarvis, Jr. (pictured) was charged with two counts of malicious wounding, one count of use of a firearm in committing a felony, and one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Jarvis was taken to the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail where he’s being held without bond. Johnson says the victim had several gunshot wounds. Jarvis was arrested at around 4 a.m. Wednesday at a residence on Burnt Mill Road.
