Man Arrested In 29 North Standoff Faces Felony Charge

County Police say a man who was arrested following a standoff is charged with being a convicted felon who had a firearm. Police say 32-year-old Richard Barracks of Esmont (pictured) is being held at the Regional Jail. Barracks was taken into custody Friday night at the Brown Automotive Collision Center on 29 North. Police responded that evening to calls about gunshots on Berkmar Drive and found Barracks at the nearby Brown Automotive complex. A standoff with police began at around 6:30 p.m. Friday and ended nearly four hours later. Police say the incident remains under investigation.
