Man Sentenced In Death Of Culpeper Woman

A man has been sentenced for a drunk driving collision that killed a Culpeper woman and her unborn child. A judge sentenced 38-year-old Orlando Cruz to 24 years in prison. Cruz was the driver of a car that killed 20-year-old Zulma Alvarez, who was nine months pregnant at the time. Cruz crossed the center line in September 2012. He was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated homicide and other counts.
