The Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors has released its first quarter home sales. The realtors’ group says Albemarle County, which is the region’s biggest player in terms of residential properties, had 203 closed sales from January through last month. That’s one less sale than during the same three month period a year ago. Nelson County had 16 fewer sales in a year-to-year comparison, and Greene and Louisa reported more modest declines. In contrast, Charlottesville had 15 more first-quarter sales this year, and Fluvanna had ten more.
