Less Paper, More Internet For Messages To Albemarle Parents

Parents and students with the Albemarle school system will see fewer paper messages sent home next year. The county schools say much of the traditional information that used to be sent home in backpacks will now be sent electronically. They’ll use current methods such as the Parent Portal and Blackboard messaging system. County school officials say the move could save $100,000 a year.
