Kaine Backs Budget Deal Now Pending In Congress

Freshman U.S. Senator Tim Kaine says he can support a bipartisan budget deal that’s now before Congress. Senator Kaine (D- Richmond) believes many Virginians who work for Uncle Sam will agree with him. He says it will avoid any immediate shutdowns like the one Virginians experienced in early October. Some of Kaine’s fellow Democrats are complaining that the deal does not extend unemployment benefits beyond this month. The package was unveiled by Wisconsin Republican Congressman Paul Ryan and Washington Democratic Senator Patty Murray.
