Home Sales Show Double-Digit Increase In Region

Home sales in the region were up last year. Figures from the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors show there was a 10% increase in the number of homes sold during 2013 compared to the year before. That’s the second double-digit gain in a row. The median price was up 6%. Home sales in Louisa County were up 35% and were 28% higher in Nelson County. Albemarle County saw an 11% increase, and the gain in Fluvanna County was 6%. The numbers were down slightly in Greene County and the city of Charlottesville.
