Virginia Tech has fired its men’s basketball coach. James Johnson led the hoops program at the Blacksburg school for the past two years. This year’s Hokie squad had a 9-22 record overall. Virginia Tech had a 2-16 record in ACC play that was dead last among the 15 ACC schools. The Hokie faithful saw their season end March 12th with a 57-53 loss to the University of Miami in the first round of the ACC tournament. Virginia Tech’s new Athletic Director will choose his successor.
