Herring Helps Local Democrats Raise Money

Local Democrats attracted a statewide official to their largest fundraising event of the year. Attorney General Mark Herring (pictured) was a featured guest at the Democrats’ Pasta Supper on Saturday night at the Senior Center. They cheered Herring’s efforts to persuade federal judges to overturn Virginia’s constitutional amendment that bans same-sex marriages.  Herring also hopes the General Assembly will expand Virginia’s Medicaid rolls. He was a Democratic State Senator before he won his current office.

Both Knox and Sutherland are 27. No wedding date had been set.
