A Virginia law enforcement officer is dead after running off the road in his own car in Goochland County. Gabriel Pearce of Rockville was on Route 622 when his car left the road and hit several trees at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. State Police say Pearce was ejected when his car flipped over, and that he was not wearing his seat belt. Pearce became a full-time deputy with the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office just two months ago.
