A search for a deputy sheriff has had a tragic ending in the Emporia area.  A dive team found the body of 52-year-old Percy Lee House III of the Greensville County Sheriff’s Office inside his patrol car.  State Police believe his car skidded off an icy road Saturday and was submerged in a creek near the community of Skippers. Greensville Sheriff James Edwards calls the death of his deputy “tragic and unexpected.”
