Freak Accident At Campground Kills One Woman And Injures Others

One woman was killed and two others were injured in a freak accident involving a jeep with a stuck accelerator. State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the driver of a Jeep Cherokee accdentally hit two women at a campground in Dickenson County. 62-year-old Norma Jean Kendrick died at the scene, and 61-year-old Georgia Mullins had minor injuries. The 62-year-old Jeep driver has life-threatening injuries and was taken to a Bristol hospital. All three women are from the Clintwood community in Dickenson County.
