A couple and two children are dead in an apparent murder-suicide. It happened Sunday night in Chesterfield County. Chesterfield Police Lt. John Miller told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that officers found the bodies of the father and a two-year-old boy inside a house in the Matoaca area. Miller says the mother and a 9-year-old girl were found outside the residence. The mother died at the scene. The girl was taken to a hospital where she died later. Miller says all four family members had been shot and police are not looking for any suspects. The family has not been identified pending notification of relatives.
