Fluvanna Sheriff Gets New Job With Virginia ABC Board

Fluvanna County Sheriff Ryant Washington is getting a new job in Richmond at the start of next month. Washington has been named as a special policy advisor for law enforcement for Virginia’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. His appointment was announced Tuesday by Governor McAuliffe. Fluvanna County voters have chosen Washington (pictured) to be their Sheriff four times. He was first elected in November 1999.
