Police, City Officials Honor Wayne Bettinger

Many Charlottesville area police officers came together Monday to honor a 16-year veteran of the force. Officer Wayne Bettinger was 51 when he died last week of cancer. His funeral happened at the First Baptist Church on Park Street. Kathy Galvin and other City Councilors had a moment of silence for Bettinger on Monday evening. His survivors include his wife, daughter, mother, and a brother.

The Denver Broncos will board fire trucks and roll slowly through the crowd-lined streets of the Mile High City to celebrate winning the Super Bowl.
