A local judge has told city prosecutors they can drop their charges against a teacher at Venable Elementary School. The Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court judge has paved the way for federal prosecutors to take over the case against Corey Robert Schock. They plan to try the fourth-grade teacher in the Eastern District of Virginia in a court that’s closer to the alleged victim. Schock was arrested last month on child pornography charges. The 43-year-old Schock is now in federal custody.
