A Greene County man is accused of several offenses after a recent arrest. 36-year-old Mark Damon Jones (pictured) of Stanardsville is charged with the intent to distribute more than five pounds of marijuana and possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony. Jones was taken into custody after a traffic stop January 4th on South River Road. Greene Sheriff’s deputies, State Police and agents with the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force also executed a search warrant at 2567 Red Bird Drive in Stanardsville. Authorities say they seized Jones’ vehicle, $25,000 in cash, eight pounds of marijuana and a Winchester rifle.
