A panel that’s wrestling with improvements to the 29 corridor spent Thursday exploring construction timetables. Meanwhile, VDOT says five companies have submitted “statements of qualifications” to handle the projects that state officials approved earlier this summer. They are Shirley Contracting Company and Dewberry Incorporated; Lane Construction Corporation and Corman Construction; RK&K Skanska-Branch A Joint Venture and the J.M.T. Wagman Companies; The Parsons Transportation Group and Conti Enterprise; and Louis Berger Group.
