A lawmaker wants a total makeover for the ABC Board. Delegate David Albo is reviving an idea to replace the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. The three current board members make six-figure salaries. Albo wants to change the board to five members with business experience who work part-time for just $50 a day. The candidates would be appointed by the governor and would have to be approved by the General Assembly. Albo offered the same bill three years ago but it never made it out of committee.
The Virginia baseball team fell to North Carolina, 4-2, in their final game of the series in Charlottesville. The Cavaliers will next travel to Richmond to play VCU at the Diamond on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
