Albemarle County school officials got rid of milk supplies Wednesday after they got an advisory from the State Health Department. Child Nutrition Director Christina Pitsenberger (pictured) and her cafeteria managers learned that Marva Maid milk with “sell-by dates” from May 30th through June 2nd might have spoiled. Milk from another dairy products supplier is being used for the rest of the school year. Albemarle schools have had no reports of anyone getting sick. The Henrico and Prince William school divisions notified the state earlier this week about milk with a bad taste and odor.
