Civil War Battlefield Cleanup Set For April 5th

Your chance to help clean up Civil War battlefields. The Civil War Trust needs volunteers to help spruce up sites in Virginia. It happens on Park Day, a nationwide campaign April 5th. Volunteers are needed for general maintenance, painting signs, planting trees and raking leaves. Locations in Virginia are Appomattox Court House (pictured), Brandy Station, the Wilderness, Cedar Mountain, Cold Harbor, Petersburg and others. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt and be treated to a history lesson.
