City Schools Consider Changing Daily Schedule

The Charlottesville School Board is toying with the idea of changing the daily schedule for students. This might involve earlier pick-up times for younger students in the city schools. Assistant Superintendent Jim Henderson says the staff is looking at bus schedules. Henderson has warned the board about the difficulties of getting from one side of Charlottesville to the other in under a half-hour.  Superintendent Rosa Atkins (pictured) says the school division would not make any changes until the start of the fall semester. The school board expects to revisit the issue later this month.
