City Residents Help Provide Focus On West Main Street

City Residents Help Provide Focus On West Main Street

Many Charlottesville residents got a chance Saturday to provide their views on what they want to see along the West Main Street corridor. Many of the participants are bicycle lovers. Transportation consultant Karina Ricks says many bike owners believe the lanes for them are too narrow. Ricks and others are helping city officials who want West Main to be a more comprehensive connection between the downtown business district and UVA. They used displays (pictured) to help newer residents see how the road network works in that area. City offiicials hope to have another meeting dealing with West Main sometime in late April or early May.
