City Planners Give Frosty Reception To Meadowbrook Flats

The Charlottesville Planning Commission has given a chilly reception to the newest version of the Meadowbrook Flats project. Michael Osteen (pictured) and his fellow planners have been wrestling for months with proposals affecting one corner of the Emmet Street and Barracks Road intersection.  Nearby resident Nancy Summers characterizes the latest proposal as an eyesore.  Developer William Park wants to create a multi-story residential building on that property. He recently asked the planners to postpone their vote after it became clear they would not endorse his proposal.
