Advice Regarding Pedestrian Safety

A former mayor has advice about pedestrian safety for the city’s current leaders. David Brown (pictured) has heard the pleas of senior citizens who are tired of people almost hitting them with their cars. Brown hopes the city will consider speed bumps in places where they might be effective. The city will provide an update on its Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan later this week. That event will begin at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the City Space at 100 Fifth Street, Northeast.
