The Charlottesville School Board will send nearly $67,000 back to City Hall. After the General Assembly finally adopted a new two-year state budget, the Charlottesville school division learned it received a better deal than it expected from Richmond. Willa Neale (pictured) is among the school board members who notes City Councilors have helped the school system during recent budget cycles. There had been uncertainty for the city schools, as well as other systems across the Commonwealth, thanks to a prolonged stalemate between the House of Delegates and State Senate. That impasse was triggered by a dispute over Medicaid funding that lasted until late June.
