A Charlottesville man has been arrested on a single charge of forcible sodomy for an alleged attack in Richmond. 21-year-old Joseph Jarod Alston was arrested in Charlottesville on Monday. According to Gene Lepley, the Richmond Police Department’s Director of Media Relations, the assault was reported to Richmond police back in March.  Investigators are now looking to see if it was a single incident or multiple assaults over a long period of time. Authorities in Richmond are limited to what they can say due to the nature of the crime, so information is available on neither the gender nor the age of the victim.
