Some lanes on I-64 were shut down early Monday by an accident involving a car hitting a VDOT truck. It happened at around 4:30 a.m. near mile-marker 116 between the Route 29 and Ivy exits. The two westbound lanes in that area were closed for a couple of hours after a car hit the rear of a VDOT truck that was painting lines on the road. A lot of the yellow paint ended up in the car when it went under the truck. A VDOT worker had a leg injury. The driver of the car was not hurt.
